Christmas reading

One of my stories is in the Ireland’s Own Christmas Annual 2019. I do like their illustrations – they’re always so reassuringly traditional, which I feel somehow gives the stories a timeless quality.

Do you fancy having me

Lots of reading

I’ve been away at our friends’ wedding, which was onboard a ship en route to America! It’s lovely to have people help out with my romance research in this way … um,

Happy hallowe’en!

Fancy some suitable reading as you wait for kids to come round trick or treating? Or to read by torchlight at a hallowe’en party? Or completely on your own to

I’m a cover girl!

I’m very pleased to get mentioned on the cover of the latest issue of The People’s Friend, especially under the phrase ‘The best fiction!’ in large letters!

Usually, when bragging about a publication, I’d mention something about my inspiration or the setting, but in this case that would totally give away the twist. All I’ll say is

Spookily enough

I have a new book out! The title, Slightly Spooky Stories III, probably tells you all you need to know, but I’ll give you the blurb anyway …

Not lost in translation

I have a story in the 4th June issue of Scandinavian magazine Allers. It’s a reprint from when it appeared in Allas two years ago.

They’ve changed the title and I can’t read the language it’s printed in (Swedish? Norwegian?). Those things together with the fact I wrote it years ago, might have meant I had trouble identifying it. Thankfully there are enough details in the illustration to

I’m a cover girl!

My name is on the front cover of The People’s Friend this week! That’s the first time I’ve ever been mentioned on the cover of any magazine (my stories have featured on some fiction specials, but never me personally.)

The story which has been retitled Fairy Grotto, was inspired by a visit to the Waterwheel Inn near St Austell. It’s a lovely place to
