Hard at it

IMG_0336OK, I’ll admit the photo suggests having a friend round to tea, rather than making good progress on my latest novel, but it only tells half the story.
The friend is a former police officer and very kindly answered some research questions. There were a lot more questions than cakes consumed, even if you include the ones Gary and I scoffed! Thanks, Mark.
There were a few surprises which mean I have some plot adjustments to make, but that’s not too much of a problem at this early stage.

I’d slowed up when doubts as to whether my characters were following correct procedure crept in. Now I’m more confident they know what they’re doing, I’m finding it easier to write their activities.
