I love the National Trust’s gardens at Mottisfont Abbey in Hampshire and have visited numerous times. I don’t just smell the fabulous roses and eat cakes in the tearooms though – I take photos and plot stories. Teacher’s Pet in Over The Garden Fence is set at Mottisfont (the bridge is the location of one scene).
On Friday I went back and took more photos – which the National Trust will be using on their social media pages over the next few weeks.
I hope they encourage more people to visit this wonderful place (there’s a house, waterside walks, estate and winter garden to explore as well as the fabulous walled rose gardens). Who knows, maybe it’ll even help my book sales?
Maybe they’ll invite you to be writer in residence in the tearoom once a month 😍
