I’ve been away, researching a possible sequel to the novel I’ve almost finished editing. Part of the trip involved going over to Skomer Island (off the south coast of Wales) to see the puffins.

They look cute in the pictures, don’t they? They’re even nicer when seen for real – their walk is amusing and they way they fly and land even funnier.

Sorry, my photography skills aren’t up to capturing one in the air – you’ll just have to go and see them for yourself.

When I got home, I discovered a story of mine had been published in My Weekly (I knew it had been accepted, but wasn’t sure when it would be used).
