I had a nice surprise this morning – a cheque as the second prize in the WORDS magazine ‘murder’ competition. Not sure why, but I’d been convinced I’d only got through the first round and not made it on to the shortlist.

Although I regularly blog about free to enter writing competitions, I don’t always get around to entering. At least I didn’t, I intend to make much more effort in future!
