My story Bath Night is in the current issue of The weekly News. In it, the narrator compares her life with that of an ancestor whilst reading extracts of her diary. About twenty-five years ago, back when I worked on the family farm, I read part of my great grandfather’s diary and was struck both by the differences and the similarities in our lives. I wonder, how much more of my past will provide inspiration for stories?
As we’re still travelling I haven’t had a bath for months. The van does have a good shower though – and once I risked a dip in the sea. I’ll spare you a photo of that and subsitute something much cuter.
Plus ca change, plus le meme chose? We are sacrificing our bath for a platform lift to future-proof our home. Maybe that’s an idea for another story?!

That’s great, Patsy! Congratulations. By the way, I downloaded your book of short stories and flash fiction “The Story a Day May Collection” and am really enjoying it.

Oh, sorry about that Patsy! Stupid me! But I do have your collection of short stories “Not a Drop to Drink”, which I thoroughly enjoyed 🙂 And I do plan on buying more of your work.

No problem! It’s really easy to forget who wrote what after reading several books. Glad you enjoyed Drink.
