Yes, we’re STILL out in the van touring Scotland. And yes, still having a wonderful time – despite a few excitements and mini disasters.
It’s occurred to me that being a fiction writer is a bit of a disadvantage when things go wrong as my imagination kicks in and I start thinking of all kinds of possible outcomes, rather than just getting on and dealing with things.
It’s even worse when I recall events later as I can’t help adding extra drama and emotion …
Something else which has occurred to me is that I’m going to have to write at least one novel if I can hope to claim this whole trip is research rather than a holiday.
Who knows, maybe I will.
How abso-flippin’-lutely lovely!
I do like the idea of holidays… I mean ‘research’ to inform writing. Are kilts and sporrans going to feature in your next book?

If my research is thorough enough …

I think you definitely should (write another novel). With NaNoWriMo on the horizon, you have the ideal opportunity? (Nag, nag, nag!)
