I’ve received a proof copy of Firestarter – and phew, it all looks good!
Most of my book sales are ebooks and I read a lot myself that way too, but there’s something about getting hold of a physical copy of a book with your name on the cover. It doesn’t seem quite real until then.
Although the official launch isn’t until November 5th, copies can now be ordered (Kindle ones won’t be released until the 5th). Libraries can also order them. As my other books are in some libraries I’m hoping Firestarter will be too. Do ask your local branch to consider ordering a copy if you’d prefer to get it from there than from Amazon.
I will be asking my library to stock this one. We have a brilliant service in South Staffordshire. So glad it’s an actual book.

Congratulations, Patsy – there’s nothing quite like a physical book, is there? I don’t think they’ll ever be entirely overtaken by e-books (at least I hope not!)

I agree with you, Susan. Ebooks are good in lots of ways, but I think they’ll always be a place for the real thing.
